I love slow mornings….. the ability to take in the first sunshine rays while savouring a meal that I prepared myself. On some mornings, I’d watch the sunrise while on my morning run…and on others, I’d watch it as I plate my breakfast on my balcony which overlooks the beautiful Pyramids of Giza ready to feed my body then my mind with a book. On other mornings, I have my teenage son [who doesn’t like breakfast nowadays but makes time when we are together] sitting across from me, reminding me of how I should remember these sacrifices of sleep he’s making during his holiday just for me, ha-ha. On other mornings, I’d have the company of a friend who spends the night over at my place, and just like my son, they’d be wondering why I am up so early on a weekend then remind me that their presence is a gift I should always treasure. In all instances, I always feels so grateful, grateful for the gift of life, grateful for the gift of health, grateful for the gift of family, grateful for the privilege of pressure that comes with work, grateful for the friendships that fuel my soul.
